Here is a fast and healthy pizza recipe that is perfect to make whenever you need your pizza fix.

Mushroom and Broccoli Pizza Recipe - Ingredients

Ingredients

300 grams all-purpose flour
1 cup butter softened
3 cloves of garlic
1 cup of broccoli florets
1 cup of button mushroom
1 small green bell pepper
A handful of fresh parsley
A pinch of salt

Procedure

Mushroom and Broccoli Pizza Recipe - Dough with Garlic Butter

Combine 300 grams of all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup of softened butter, a pinch of salt and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of cold water in a mixing bowl. Mix until the ingredients are combined.

Knead until the dough is a smooth ball. Wrap the dough in cling wrap and put it in the fridge for about 20 minutes to rest.

Meanwhile, make garlic butter. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of softened butter, 3 cloves of pressed or grated garlic, and a heaping tablespoon of chopped parsley. Set aside.

Prepare your toppings. Chop and blanch your broccoli florets using salted water so they will have that nice green color. Slice button mushroom in halves. Dice or cut your green bell peppers in strips.

Take your dough from the fridge and roll it out. Flatten and fit the crust into a flour-dusted fry pan. Spread garlic butter on top. Precook crust at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.

Once the crust turns light brown, spread garlic butter on it once again and put your toppings. Finally, top the pizza with grated cheese. Cook in the oven at 220 degrees for another 20 minutes. Once done, let the pizza cool for a little and garnish it with chopped parsley.

Serves 2 to 3 people.

Bonus Recipe Notes

No rolling pin? You can knead and flatten the dough to form your crust by using the balls of your hands. This part of the hand has a lot of muscle and fat making it perfect for kneading.

Make your homemade pizza even better by using sweet potatoes instead of all-purpose flour to make the crust.

Use a non-stick pan instead of a pie plate. This way you will need nothing but a little bit of flour for dusting to prevent the crust from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
