Homemade Banana Waffles

If you love bananas, you would love this Homemade Banana Waffles.  This will be such a huge hit to your kids and your family.  If you have bananas in your freezer now, you might want to grab it and prepare this for breakfast. You probably have all the ingredients you need in your pantry.

You can top these waffles with sliced bananas and waffle syrup - or you can also top it with your favorite whipped cream, honey or yes, even ice cream!

We also pair it with a chocolate drink - but it's not always just chocolate. To give it a little kick, we add a little coffee to our chocolate drink, store in our favorite glass bottle, so we can bring it with us to work.

Homemade Banana Waffles

Get out of the waffle rut with this delicious homemade banana waffles

 Prep Time 10 minutes
 Cook Time 15 minutes
 Total Time 25 minutes
 Servings 4 pieces

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • dash of salt
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 6 tbsp butter melted

Instructions

  1.  Slice bananas and mashed them. 

  2. Preheat waffle iron.

  3. Stir together flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and nutmeg.

  4. Beat egg yolks in the bowl and add milk and vanilla.

  5. Stir in the dry mixture until well-mixed.

  6. Stir in mashed bananas and butter.

  7. Make waffles in the waffle iron. 

  8. Top them with slice bananas and maple syrup.
